Ride the trolley as it rolls through Elmhurst to celebrate Museum Day! Visit all 3 Museums including the Art Museum, History Museum and Lizzadro Museum. Participate in activities and collect a stamp at each Museum for a chance to win a prize. Park at one location and ride the complementary trolley. At the Lizzadro Museum, see the Rock Café and participate in Stone Hunt to collect rocks, minerals and fossils to take home.
2019 Elmhurst Museum Day Activities
Elmhurst Art Museum: Participate in a hands-on art activity and view the exhibits “With a Capital P: Selections by Six Painters” and “Luftwerk: Parallel Perspectives” in this award-winning contemporary art museum located in a rare residence designed by Mies van der Rohe.

Elmhurst History Museum: Explore the new “Worlds of Wonder: Remembering Chicagoland’s Amusement Parks” exhibit inside the Glos Mansion and participate in amusement park-themed crafts and activities on the museum grounds (weather permitting). Complimentary face painting, lemonade, and cookies.

Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art: Tour the museum’s expansive collection of jade carvings, gems, and more. See the “Rock Café,” an exhibit with three meals made of stone, and join a stone hunt to collect rocks, minerals and fossils to take home.
