As part of our Professional Speakers Series, Jim White, CPA, Managing Partner, J.S. White and Associates will present a 60-minute seminar on "Seven Mistakes I Made Starting My Business" as they relate to his personal experiences in starting a business.

"Two years ago, I started a small CPA firm and fell into all of the traps I said I wouldn't," stated White. "Here's what I did that you shouldn’t and how I'm fixing things going forward."
 
White has been a certified public account for almost twenty-five years working first for a large "Big Four" firm, then a regional mid-tier firm, and now a small boutique firm he started in Elmhurst in 2017. White also spent time at two Fortune 500 companies managing internal audit functions. White's current focus with J.S. White and Associates, LLC, is accounting and tax services for small businesses, partnerships, local non-profit organizations, and local governments. White graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 1994 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration and a major in accounting. In addition to spending time with his family, White is active in the community through various youth sports coaching roles and volunteering time to raise funds for charities by hosting trivia nights.
