About Us

The Chicago Wildfire are the city’s first ever professional Ultimate Frisbee team competing in the American Ultimate Disc League, or AUDL. The Wildfire play in the Midwest division, which is comprised of teams from Minnesota, Madison, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, and Pittsburgh. Their season includes 12 games on weekends from April through July, followed by playoffs and a Championship Weekend for the top 4 teams across the country.

If you’re new to the game, Ultimate is the fastest growing sport in North America with over 6 million athletes participating at some level in 2017. Combining the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football, Ultimate is a non-contact team sport played by players with a flying disc (Frisbee). Two teams of seven players compete on a football-sized field. Each team defends one end zone, and the object is to score by catching a pass in the opponent's end zone. Come see us play at Elmhurst College! Go Wildfire!
