Daniel to Receive ECCI Chairman's Award

DANIEL TO RECEIVE ECCI CHAIRMAN’S AWARD
 
            ELMHURST, Ill., January 2, 2015 – Attorney at Law Mark Daniel, Owner of Daniel Law Office, will receive the 2014 Chairman’s Award at the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s 96th Annual Awards and Talent Showcase at the Waterford Banquet & Conference Center on Friday, January 30, starting at 6 p.m.
            Traditionally, the annual award is given to a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors for his/her outstanding service to the Board, Chairman and President/CEO or to a non-Director for praiseworthy contributions or performance.
     “Mark has immersed himself in our Chamber as a Director and Committee member particularly in the areas of governmental affairs and organizational governance,” stated John R. Quigley, Chamber President and CEO since 1999.
    Outgoing ECCI Board Chair Julie Miller of Patrick T. Sheehan and Associates will present the award to Daniel.
    As a first-term elected Director, Daniel has played an advisory role in both the Chamber By-Law revisions enacted in 2013 and Policy and Procedure Manual updates enacted in 2014, with new manual sections in the adoption process for early 2015.
    His practice is primarily devoted to prosecuting and defending civil litigation, municipal and government litigation, zoning and land use litigation as well as trademark, copyright and advertising litigation
    He has chaired the DuPage County Bar Association’s Government Committee and has been active in the Westmont, Naperville and East-West chambers of commerce.
    Daniel serves on the Elmhurst Public Schools District 205 Advisory Committee, is a Board member of the DuPage American Cancer Society and was on the Board of the Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana Girls Scouts Council.
    He is a 12-year resident of Elmhurst.
