DESCRIPTION:The green-built home at 250 N. Myrtle Avenue will host an educational open house called "100 Acts of Green" on Sunday\, April 18th from 2-4 pm. The public is invited to visit six stations around the home staffed by local green experts. The stations will educate residents on ten Green Acts from the campaign's website. Mini-presentations will highlight a Green Act so visitors can see how it might fit in their own home. The stations will include advice on water-saving plumbing and appliances\, recycling in Elmhurst\, energy efficient lighting\, insulation and more. A self-guided tour will showcase ten other Green Acts installed within the home. \n\nResidents will be able to log onto the One Million Acts of Green website on the way out to record planned or completed Green Acts. Visitors who bring a cell phone or empty Altoids tin to recycle will receive supplies to complete the Green Act of insulating electrical outlets. \n\n100 Acts of Green is sponsored by LW Reedy Real Estate and LINDAM Property Group.
