DESCRIPTION:The Elmhurst College Sustainability Committee will host a bird walk on campus on Tuesday morning\, May 10. The walk will be led by student birder Glenn Perricone. Elmhurst College is a registered arboretum and provides great stop-over habitat for migrant birds such as warblers and thrushes. The walk will last no longer than an hour\, and will be open to new bird watchers. A limited supply of loaner binoculars will be available. Complimentary bird-friendly coffee\, coffee specially certified as organic and shade-grown\, to protect forest habitats will be served before the walk begins. The bird walk will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday\, May 10\, in front of Illinois Hall\, Schaible Science Center (190 Prospect Ave.\, Elmhurst\, www.elmhurst.edu/campusmap). Admission is free.
