SUMMARY:Safety Town's Annual Family Bike-a-Thon
DESCRIPTION:Safety Town's annual family bike-a-thon will take place from 10 a.m. - Noon on Saturday\, May 16 at the Depot/Safety Town. This free event will feature an opportunity for families to give their bicycles and equipment a three-point check-up including helmets\, and then decorate their riding equipment for the upcoming Memorial Day parade. Qualifying bikes are registered with the assistance of community helpers. Participants will be able to ride their tricycles\, or ours\, in Safety Town and children with two-wheelers and parents will ride a short distance obstacle course outside of the Safety Town Village or on the Prairie Path. All materials are provided and bicycle safety information will be handed out by our community volunteers. Certificates are available for those who attend. There will be refreshments and safety fun for the entire family. For more information please call the Wagner Community Center at (630) 993-8901.
