DESCRIPTION:The Inaugural "Fighting Hunger Games"\, a one-day\, 100-hole golf marathon for up to thirty-six participants\, will take place rain or shine on June 19\, 2015 at Maple Meadows Golf Course in Wood Dale\, Illinois. Each participant or "warrior" is expected to raise a minimum of $2\,500 in pledges with proceeds going to the Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot Foundation. The DGTT Foundation has become more than just a one event a year\, the Thanksgiving Day 5k. We are adding events in order to expand our Community Outreach. Our mission is to be a major contributor in the eradication of hunger and to promote self-sustainability in Dupage County. The "After-Party" will be held immediately following the golf marathon beginning at 5:00 pm. All pledgers\, donors and sponsors are invited to share in the celebration with their golfers with food\, drink and music in the clubhouse at Maple Meadows.
