DESCRIPTION:GreenMan Theatre's Showcase production of The Secret Garden is set to open on Friday April 5. This world premiere adaptation by playwright and director Linda Roberts brings a new perspective to the classic novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Orphan Mary Lennox comes to live with her uncle in England following the death of her parents. She learns to cope with the loss with the help of newly found friends. A garden locked behind a gate holds wonders for her\, and she is determined to gain entry. All performances take place in Asbury Hall at First United Methodist Church at 232 S. York in Elmhurst. Friday performances begin at 7:30 PM. Saturday performances occur at 2 PM and 7:30 PM. Sunday matinees start at 2 PM. Tickets are $10 for all children 12 and under\; $17 for adults and $15 for seniors/students. This is a production the whole family can enjoy. Ticket reservations can be made at www.greenmantheatre.org or by calling the box office at 630-464-2646.
