A College at War: Women Working for Vistory in WWII
Before and during World War II, college women (like so many others) were concerned about the nation entering the war and helped to bring about victory through activism, factory work, and military service. Rockford College history professor Catherine Forslund examines experiences on the home front and abroad, revealing women's vital commitment and contributions made in civilian and military life while facing great difficulties. Part of the ongoing "It's History" series of exhibit-related lectures and programs for adults. Note: The museum will be open from 5 until 7 p.m. to view the related exhibit, Our Lives, Our Stories: America's Greatest Generation.
