Carol Lavin Bernick, Executive Chairman of Alberto-Culver Company (NYSE: ACV), a $1.5 billion global manufacturer of consumer products, will share her insights into the world of business in a lecture titled ?The Keys to Becoming A Successful Leader: Passion and Priorities.? Among her accomplishments at Alberto-Culver, Bernick created the brands Mrs. Dash and Static Guard. In her last five years as president, Carol re-energized the consumer businesses and produced compound sales and profit growth rates of 9% and 22% respectively and instituted a nationally-recognized cultural overhaul of the company profiled in the June, 2001 Harvard Business Review. She also serves on the board of Northwestern Hospital, the Dean?s Advisory Board for Kellogg Management School and is a vice chair of the board of Tulane University.
