"Back to the Future" Trilogy Set for October 21 at Three Theatres

DOWNERS GROVE, IL – Get ready to go “Back to the Future” on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, with a special screening of the iconic trilogy at the Ogden 6, Charlestowne 18 and York Theatres. Admission is $5 per film or $10 for all three movies. All the films have been digitally remastered for the big screen special engagement.

October 21, 2015, is the date of Marty McFly's visit to the future as shown on the time-machine car in Back to the Future Part II.

“Back to the Future” will be shown at 4:50 p.m., followed by “Back to the Future II” at 7 p.m. and “Back to the Future III” at 9 p.m. The times are the same at all three Classic Cinemas theatres.

The Ogden 6 Theatre is located at 1227 E. Ogden Ave., Naperville; the Charlestowne 18 Theatre is at 3740 E. Main St., St. Charles; and the York Theatre is located at 150 North York St., Elmhurst.

BACK TO THE FUTURE

In “Back to the Future,” which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, 17-year-old Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) is accidentally sent back in time from 1985 to 1955 in a time machine built from a DeLorean by eccentric scientist Emmett “Doc” Brown. Soon after his arrival in 1955, Marty's mother falls in love with him, rather than with his father, threatening to cause a paradox that would result in Marty's nonexistence. Without plutonium to power the time machine, Marty must find the 1955 Doc Brown to help him reunite his parents and return to 1985.

“Back to the Future Part II” picks up where the original movie left off. After repairing the damage to history done by his previous time-travel adventures, Marty McFly and “Doc” Brown travel to 2015 to prevent McFly's future son from ending up imprisoned. The most specific, date-driven prophesy from the 1989 movie is the Chicago Cubs beating a baseball team from Miami in the 2015 World Series.

“Back to the Future Part III,” which is celebrating its 25th anniversary,
takes place immediately after the events of “Back to the Future Part II.” While stranded in 1955 during his time-travel adventures, Marty McFly discovers that “Doc” Brown, trapped in 1885, was killed. Marty decides to travel to 1885 to rescue Doc.
