Elmhurst Artists' Guild Summer Members Show
The Elmhurst Artists' Guild ("EAG")Summer Members Show, an exhibition featuring a variety of original artwork by EAG members. The work of these predominantly west-suburban artists spans a broad range of styles and media including abstract, portrait, still life and landscape paintings, mixed media, collage and sculptural works.
"The show will be an eclectic mix, as our artists' works range from the serene to the downright creepy, using traditional as well as unusual media in some very inventive ways," commented Wes Baker, EAG President. Exhibiting artworks include broad stroked, colorful abstract paintings by Adrienne Jarosack and Don Bradley, abstract motorcycle art by Wes Baker, delicate landscape by Roger Harges, a hot Cuban street scene watercolor by Tony Armendariz, and a cool beatnik gig drawing in colored pencil and ink by Frank Tumino, among others.
The exhibition is partially supported by the Illinois Arts Council. Those who attend the reception will have an opportunity to meet the artists and learn more about their work. Artworks will be judged and prizes awarded at the reception by Toni Fogarty, an art teacher, painter, sculptor, ceramicist, and photographer.
