Elmhurst Choral Union: And on Earth, Peace

Elmhurst Choral Union presents "And on Earth, Peace" on Sunday, December 6 at 3 p.m. in Hammerschmidt Chapel on the campus of Elmhurst College. The concert features Respighi's ethereal "Laud to the Nativity" and Vaughan Williams's tribute to little-known music from the British Isles, "Fantasia on Christmas Carols". The choir is accompanied by a professional orchestra and soloists, under the direction of James MacDonald. General admission is $25 adults, $23 seniors, and $10 youth.  Tickets are available at elmhurstchoralunion.org, 800-838-3006, or at the door. Elmhurst Choral Union is an auditioned volunteer choir, performing choral masterworks of all eras. The concert is funded in part by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency, and a City of Elmhurst community grant.
