Elmhurst College to Host Consul General of France in Chicago
In celebration of National French Week in early November, Elmhurst College will present The Face of Integration in Europe, a conversation with Guillaume Lacroix, the consul general of France in Chicago. Lacroix became consul general of France in Chicago in 2017, after diplomatic assignments to the Department of African and Indian Ocean Affairs in Paris, the French Embassy in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, and the French Embassy in Washington, D.C. His talk at Elmhurst will focus on the concept of contemporary French identity and, more broadly, integration in and of Europe. The Face of Integration in Europe will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the Frick Center, Founders Lounge (190 Prospect Ave., Elmhurst, elmhurst.edu/campusmap). Admission is free but reservations are encouraged. Visit elmhurst.edu/cultural to RSVP. For more information, call (630) 617-5186. Sponsored by the Elmhurst College Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures; and the American Association of Teachers of French.
