Elmhurst College to Host Talk on 'Biodiversity in Our Backyards' on April 18
As director of the Urban Wildlife Institute, a research division of the Lincoln Park Zoo, Seth Magle looks at interactions between people and wildlife.
On Monday, April 18, the Student Government Association at Elmhurst College will welcome Magle when he presents Lincoln Park Zoo's Urban Wildlife Institute: Exploring Biodiversity in Our Backyards, this year's Andrew K. Prinz Guestship for Political Awareness. A nationally recognized expert on urban wildlife, Magle engages in research aimed at enabling humans and wildlife to co-exist in an increasingly urban world, and believes we can design smarter cities where wildlife and people can live together without conflict.
Magle's talk will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, in the Founders Lounge of the Frick Center (190 Prospect Ave., Elmhurst, www.elmhurst.edu/campusmap). Admission is free. For more information, contact Constance Mixon, director of the Elmhurst College Urban Studies Program, at (630) 617-3569 or mixonc@elmhurst.edu.
