Elmhurst Museum Day
Observe International Museum Day with Elmhurst's four Museums on Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 1:00 until 5:00 pm. Enjoy FREE activities, admission, and A a fun trolley ride to each Museum in celebration of the important role Museums play in the community.
MUSEUM DAY ACTIVITIES:
Elmhurst Art Museum
Tour the exhibitions, The Search for Form and Mary Burke: Living Matters, then make an abstract self-portrait using patterned paper, fabric, found objects, pastels, and colored pencils.
Elmhurst Historical Museum
Tour the exhibit, Dwellings: a Study in Residential Architecture, and see a magic-themed video presentation. Enjoy a family craft activity and complementary refreshments.
Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art
View the Rock Café featuring three balanced meals made of stone. Children and adults can create a pet rock to take home.
Theatre Historical Society of America
Children are invited to complete a crossword puzzle highlighting famous theatres to win a prize. Adults may view a new exhibit featuring vintage usher uniforms.
