Father John Francis Kartje to Give Joseph Cardinal Bernardin Lecture on Nov. 13
On Wednesday, Nov. 13, Kartje will present How to Engage Mystery: Advice from a Scientist for Nones, Nuns and All, this year’s Joseph Cardinal Bernardin Lecture. Kartje is rector of the University of Saint Mary of the Lake, also known as Mundelein Seminary. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago in 2002 and has served in parish and campus ministry in both Chicago and Washington, D.C. He holds doctoral degrees in scripture from the Catholic University of America, and in astrophysics from the University of Chicago. The Bernardin Lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Frick Center, Founders Lounge (190 Prospect Ave., Elmhurst, elmhurst.edu/campusmap). Admission is free and all are welcome.
