DuPage County Board Chairman Robert J. Schillerstrom, Environmental Committee Chairman Jeff Redick and Mayor Pete DiCianni invite residents to bring their unwanted electronics and documents to this free event for recycling on October 24, 2009.
Electronics Recycling Details: Residential electronics can be dropped off at no charge. No business electronics permitted. Event can accept the following items only: computers, CPU’s, monitors, keyboards, televisions, radios, microwaves, laptops, printers, cell phones, UPS systems, PDA’s, fax machines, phones, DVD players, VCR’s and stereo equipment. Event CANNOT accept any item containing liquids or refrigerants or electronics from businesses.
Document Shredding Details: Limit of 3 boxes or 3 paper grocery bags. Staples and paperclips need not be removed. Cannot shred binders, hard cover books, plastic coverings or cardboard. Personal documents only. NOT accepting documents from businesses. This document shredding event utilizes state-of-the-art mobile shredding trucks, which are faster more efficient and have a high-volume destruction process. Shredding is done on-site. You can park your car and watch the destruction. 100% of the paper is recycled.
