Froebel Block Workshop
Calling all future architects! The Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust presents a special one-hour workshop using geometric blocks invented in the 1830s by Friedrich Froebel, the father of kindergarten. Froebel developed a system of play using wood blocks for building and design. Wright received a set as a child and used them often throughout his career. This workshop allows children to explore the shapes of Wright's prairie style designs, and offers a unique insight into the formation of this important American architect. Workshop size is limited and pre-registration required. Call 630-833-1457 to make a reservation. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
