More women end up solely responsible for their finances at some point in their lives. Two forces are at work:  women live longer than men, and half of couples will divorce. UBS asked women behind the statistic if they felt prepared financially once they were no longer part of a couple. What they found was alarming. Nearly 60% of widows and divorcees regret not being more involved in key financial decisions while they were married. Their advice to other investors is unanimous - take an active role in your finances.
