Roosevelt University's OperaFest XII
This two-day annual festival features CCPA graduate students in voice with piano accompaniment. OperaFest takes place in multiple venues: Ganz Hall, Roosevelt University’s award-winning architectural landmark, and the Murray-Green Library on the Auditorium Building’s 10th floor, overlooking Buckingham Fountain and Lake Michigan. Dana Brown and Scott Gilmore, music directors Susan Payne O’Brien and Claire DiVizio, stage directors 2 p.m., Ganz Hall Dorian Cunningham: Frideswide and the Devil (world premiere – OperaLab Composition Competition Winner) 3 p.m., Ganz Hall Milton Grainger: Angry Birdsong and Benedicta 4 p.m., Murray-Green Library (10th floor) Jacques Offenbach: “Olympia” from The Tales of Hoffman Performances are free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
