An Elmhurst Public Library Program for adults. Chicago folk singer Mark Dvorak presents "Songs from the American Railroad." An informative and entertaining program with special emphasis on music from America's railroading tradition. Accompanying himself on guitar and 5-string banjo, Dvorak will share familiar songs from American history like "I Been Working On the Railroad," "John Henry" and "The Wabash Cannonball," as well as songs that climbed the pop charts like "The Atcheson, Topeka and the Santa Fe" and "The City of New Orleans," written by Chicago folk legend Steve Goodman.
