The Variety Club of Illinois Children's Charities will host a special screening of the new feature film "Minions" on Tuesday, July 14 at 7 p.m. at the York Theatre, 150 North York Street, in downtown Elmhurst. Admission is $10 per person and includes a Gold Heart Minion (while supplies last). A donation of $5.00 from each ticket purchased will be provided to Variety Club of Illinois. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the annual Gold Heart Pin campaign is one of Variety Club's most recognized and successful fundraising programs. Funds received from the sale of the pins help the organization's efforts to provide specialized equipment for disabled and disadvantaged children. The 2015 limited-edition pin features the beloved "Minions".  In the film, evolving from single-celled yellow organisms at the dawn of time, Minions live to serve, but find themselves working for a series of unsuccessful masters, from T. Rex to Napoleon. Without a master, the Minions fall into a deep depression. But one minion, Kevin, has a plan. Accompanied by his pals Stuart and Bob, Kevin sets forth to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow. Their search leads them to Scarlet Overkill, the world's first-ever super-villainess.
