Classic Cinemas York Theatre is hosting the Red Kettle Campaign Kick-off while the Salvation Army and Classic Cinemas partner up for a special screening of "The Wizard of Oz". The film will show on November 15 at 4 p.m.
“We hope to bring many people out to watch the show this classic film on the big screen and support our efforts,” said The Salvation Army Development Director Sue Linden. “This year’s donations will help offset the stretch of our resources in many areas. We are also looking for individuals and local businesses to match the money raised from this event.” For more information about The Salvation Army or this event, please contact Sue Linden at (630) 808-4165.
There will be a kettle for moviegoers to participate through their donations. All proceeds from the event will aid in support of the many programs and services offered by The Salvation Army.
