A bold and mysterious film of discovery, "Josh" takes an inside look at life in Pakistan today--the way you have never seen it. The film explores the politics of independence in Pakistan and the characters' struggle for peace. "Independence through unity" is its official tagline. The story follows a privileged schoolteacher (Fatima) living in Karachi whose life is shattered when her beloved and seemingly simple nanny, Nusrat, inexplicably disappears. Fatima leaves the comfort of her upper class life in search of a dangerous truth in Nusrat's feudal village. "Being poor and powerless doesn't take away our right to live," reads a quote from the film sure to strike a chord in the hearts of viewers all over the world.
