$1 Family Friendly Films at York Theatre Continues into July

Save a bunch this summer by taking the kids to Classic Cinemas’ Wednesday Morning Movie Series! Each Wednesday morning until August 10, 2011, Classic Cinemas’ theatres are presenting G- or PG-rated films for only $1 per person! At the York Theatre, located at 150 N. York St., each show will begin at 10 a.m., with doors opening at 9 a.m. Movie-goers are encouraged to come early for fun and games before the movie begins and to meet some of your favorite costumed characters!

Classic Cinemas takes reservations for groups of 15 or more for the Wednesday Morning Movie Series. The special group rate is just $4.50 per person (adults and children) and includes admission, Kiddie Combo (a child-sized popcorn, soft drink, and fruit snack) and reserved seating. July 6:      Gulliver’s Travels

Travel writer Lemuel Gulliver takes an assignment in Bermuda, but ends up on the island of Liliput, where he towers over its tiny citizens.

 

July 13:     Despicable Me

When a criminal mastermind uses a trio of orphan girls as pawns for a grand scheme, he finds their love is profoundly changing him for the better.

 

July 20:     Nanny McPhee Returns

Nanny McPhee arrives to help a harried young mother who is trying to run the family farm while her husband is away at war, though she uses her magic to teach the woman's children and their two spoiled cousins five new lessons.

 

July 27:     Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore

The ongoing war between the canine and feline species is put on hold when they join forces to thwart a rogue cat spy with her own sinister plans for conquest.

 

The upcoming schedule of Wednesday Morning Movie Series at the York Theatre for the month of August includes: Megamind on August 3 and a Surprise Movie on August 10.
