We will be holding all the festivities at the Depot, where the Prairie Path and Safety Town come together. This year we will be expanding the activities for the whole family. We will still have Safety Town open for the little ones. So please bring your tricycles or you can borrow one of ours. For children who are riding on two wheelers, we will have skills course laid out in the Vallette parking lot. This course will consist of nine stations that will teach the kids different bike safety tactics and skills. The participants will have plenty of time to learn and practice the skills being taught.
Each member of the family will have the opportunity to register their bike with the Elmhurst Police Department. A representative from Active Transportation Alliance will be on hand to do helmet checks and ABC Quick checks on all the bikes. A local bike shop will also be on hand to so small tune ups on the bikes in need. Certificates are available for those that attend. There will be refreshments and safety fun for the entire family.
