Elmhurst Choral Union performs Brahms? moving portrayal of hope, comfort, and Heaven, with a full professional orchestra and soloists.
Brahms wrote this requiem as a memorial to his mother, and his deep feelings are reflected in both the music and the text. Instead of using traditional Latin texts, Brahms opened his childhood Bible and chose verses about life?s brevity and the assurance of Heaven.
Shuttle bus service from the college parking lot on Alexander Boulevard will be available.
